Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications (Advantageous)
- 6+ Years experience in a Customs Brokerage Supervisor/Management role
- Previous working experience within the Freight Forwarding/Global Logistics industry will be advantageous
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Global Logistics Industry
- Fully Computer literate (MS Office Suite Applications)
- Own vehicle and valid drivers licence
Key Performance Areas:
- Manage and oversee all Customs Brokerage Operational Standards | ensure all classification instructions for all shipments | monitor duty deferment usage and levels | monitor license/visa applications
- Ensure strong support structure to sales team and accompany to client meetings as Subject Matter Expert
- Maintain strong relations with Trade Compliance Manager and support all compliance efforts and training
- Promote Productivity Tools (edoc, process management, customs ware usage, Expo customs)
- Audit files in accordance with AEO | Follow up refunds with customs authorities | Management of customs system
- Reporting (client reports, expo request and reporting, duty/vat
- Implement new system changes and enhancements
- Staff Management | goal setting and monitor of development
